Maldives is a country of 1199 islands divided in 26 atolls. Famous for its white sand beaches, Maldives is a perfect place for photographing crystal-clear water, contrasted sky and paradise islands, but they have above all the best diving sites in the world. The underwater world shelters beautiful coral reefs where you can see thousands of multicolored fishes, sharks, turtles, dolphins, manta rays, whale sharks. If you stay away from the expensive resorts, you will discover amazing places while you can enjoy diving and surfing.
COSTA RICA
The best country for wildlife watching
Costa Rica is the country of central America who decided to protect his nature and to invest in renewable energies. Therefore, there are so many national parks like Corcovado, Tortuguero, Manuel Antonio, Marino Ballena, where you will discover luxuriant rain-forests and extremely rich wildlife. Everyday, I looked everywhere to find the famous red-eyed tree frog, ultra fast hummingbirds, amazing toucans, famous scarlet macaws, the lazy sloth or dangerous crocodiles. This is the paradise to watch wildlife!
SWITZERLAND
The mountain's country where I come from
Switzerland is my home country that is obviously famous for its epic mountains landscape. You can hike and discover beautiful scenery in winter as well as in summer. The winter is definitively a good opportunity to catch great athletes skiing or snowboarding! Switzerland is also covered with several national parks, amazing lakes, long waterfalls or medieval castles. The Leman lake is a unique region that attracts many artists with its huge lake surrounded by mountains. You can also wander in the Lavaux, a UNESCO world heritage site with terraced vineyards.
AUSTRALIA
By far, my favorite country!
Australia is a huge country where I spent several months finding many treasures: the Great Barrier Reef, beautiful beaches, arid regions, scenic roads like the Great Ocean Road or amazing coastlines. You can drive hours feeling free in vast areas with constant change in the landscape until you finally reach cosmopolitan cities. Between surf spots, you will also encounter abundant wildlife. Australia is definitively my favorite country for the diversity and the beauty of it and also for its welcoming people.
PORTUGAL
A long coast between landscapes and surfing
Portugal stretches over more than 800km of coastline with superb beaches. It’s also my favorite destination to extend the summer while surfing in great spots. In autumn, you can attend 2 major international surfing competitions: the MEO Rip Curl Pro in Peniche and the big wave challenge in Nazare where the biggest wave ever has been surfed. If the swell is not good enough, Portugal is full of surprises for photography: amazing rock formations, ancient castles, giant bridges and famous monuments.
SRI LANKA
Between elephants and tea plantations
Sri Lanka has beautiful beaches with good surf spots, sometimes not so crowded. The mountains in the center offers ruins and tea plantations waiting for you to find. Taking an old train during your trip is a must to do. Sri Lanka also offers decent national parks to watch elephants, hornbill toucans, bee eater birds and leopards if you are lucky.
MYANMAR
Temples and more temples
Recently opened for tourists, Myanmar benefits from a traditional countryside and very simple and gentle locals. This is also a voyage through Buddhism where you will encounter uncountable pagodas and monks in maroon robes. The most famous archaeological site is Bagan that you can visit by bike across more than 4000 thousands pagodas. Let yourself be guided by a boat on Inle lake and discover floating gardens, a unique fishing technique, stilt-house villages and pagodas of course.
INDONESIA
The country for surfing
Getting a very consistent swell all year round, Indonesia is the mecca of surfing with plenty of spots, including legendary ones like Uluwatu or Desert Point. While feeling the surfing vibe, there is a rich diversity to discover across more than 13000 islands such as different cultures, customs, traditional dances, various food and so on. Indonesia shelters numerous volcanoes, several capable of erupting at any time, ready to explore.
TAIWAN
Between modernity and tradition
Taiwan is an island full of surprises. On the one hand, you can see its modernity with the ultra-modern skyscrapers in Taipei, and on the other, it has kept its deep-rooted traditions. There are many beautiful temples, amazing festivals and unique night markets to discover.
LAOS
An authentic country
Laos is a calm and authentic country, where time flows to the rhythm of the Mekong, the "mother of waters". The Mekong River crosses the entire country and will follow you throughout your journey. Laos has a lush natural environment, with impressive waterfalls and large forests covering half the country.
SINGAPORE
One of the smallest but richest city-state
Also named the little Switzerland in South East Asia, Singapore is well organized and one of the world’s technological and financial centers. The port of Singapore is the third busiest seaport in the world. You can observe the modernism of this city in the Marina Bay with all the giant skyscrapers, the famous Botanic Garden and the Sands hotel looking like a boat. On top of it, the Sands Skypark is a perfect point of view to see the whole marina.
FUERTEVENTURA
An arid and windy island
Fuerteventura is the second largest island in the archipelago of the Canaries. Most visitors come here for water sports thanks to the strong wind and the waves. However, you can also find colorful volcanoes in vast, uninhabited and arid regions of the island. It's worthwhile to rent a car to explore the 100km of Fuerteventura. Pay attention to the famous white windmills.
ENGLAND
The megalopolis of London
London can make you stay for days to photograph it. You might think of its famous underground, its modern towers, its street art, its traditional bars, its famous streets, its musicals or its Christmas markets. There's never a dull moment in this rich and diversified city.
BLACK & WHITE
An other dimension
This gallerie shows my pictures from a different point of view; in black and white. B&W allows me to increase the contrast and to enhance the work on the lights.
